This live and online 10-Week Meditation Intensive will take you beyond mainstream meditation offerings and into the deeper benefits of meditation practices. It will change your volition for meditation at a deep level so that it's no longer a task on the self-care checklist, but something that fills you up and opens your heart. Through this new lens, you'll be able to access the perception-altering and life-prolonging benefits of a long-term meditation practice.

The intensive includes weekly audio lessons for you to enjoy in your own timing, a daily meditation practice, and a live call every other week where I will answer your questions and provide personalized guidance. Calls are recorded should you miss any.

This course is for you if

  • You have wanted to have a consistent meditation practice, but haven't been able to find the focus or discipline for it.

  • You sense the sacred of the world, and want a way to connect with it and know it in your whole being.

  • You want to enjoy the proven physiological benefits of a long-term meditation practice: decreased anxiety, decreased depression, improved focus, memory, and problem solving, decreased systemic inflammation, increased grey matter in the brain, prolonged cell life, and more.

  • You want to enjoy the proven psychological and relational benefits of meditation: less reactivity, greater equanimity, greater tolerance and acceptance, deeper and more natural compassion, improved connections with loved ones, and a more natural tendency to see the beauty in the world.

  • You’d like to be guided into a deep understanding of some of Buddhism’s most beautiful and transformative teachings including surrender, letting go, non-reactivity, and the true meaning of the idea of no-self or “becoming nobody”.

  • You want to quell addictive and distracting behaviors such as social media scrolling, online shopping, excessive cannabis use, eating to soothe, and the like, so that your energy and other resources can be given to the things that matter to you.

How This Course Works

  • Each week, from January 7th to March 17th, you'll receive a new batch of audio lessons to listen to and enjoy at your convenience. These lessons will walk you step by step into a deeper meditation practice.

  • You will be invited into a daily practice that gradually lengthens in duration, deepens in experience, and ultimately permeates your every-moment.

  • The lessons will range from the practical to the inspirational, progressively helping you overcome obstacles and resistance through insights, stories, and metaphors. Ultimately, the lessons will change your volition, which naturally changes your approach and the outcome.

  • We will have 6 live calls together to hold you in your practice. On these calls, I'll answer any questions you have about the lessons and will help you navigate whatever experiences or struggles you may be having. Our call dates will be on the following Sundays from 9-10:15am PT: Jan 7, Jan 21, Feb 4, Feb 18, Mar 3, Mar 17

  • A new book will be recommended every two weeks to complement the course lessons. (Reading the books will not be mandatory or essential to your learning. They will be supplemental for those who wish to read them, and will create an even more immersive experience.)

Community

There is community included with this course. When you enroll, you'll be added to a private network where you can share your thoughts, experiences, insights, and challenges with your classmates as we go through the program together. You may also opt to be part of a small accountability team of 3 or 4 of your classmates. Or, you might also consider inviting a dear friend to join you. You can be accountability buddies throughout the course.

About Your Meditation Guide

Julia Frodahl is a spiritual teacher, and the founder of "Training A Million Compassionate People", a cultural well-being and transformation project that launched in early 2020. She is motivated by the knowledge that changing the world requires changing ourselves from the inside out. Julia has dedicated her entire life to understanding the human soul and spirit, and to living deeply from that soul-centered place. She spent her early 20s in San Francisco, where she enjoyed the grace, generosity, and tutelage of local Buddhist circles. She has taught and practiced yoga and meditation for over 25 years. She holds an honors degree in Philosophy & Humanities from the University of San Francisco, as well as various certifications in the healing arts. Through world travels and walkabouts, Julia has continuously sought out the kind of wisdom that cannot be learned in the classroom, and is devoted to sharing what she's learned and discovered with you, for the benefit of all.

Julia carefully designs this course to provide support to all levels of students. I almost didn't sign up because I am have tried to start a practice many times, but it always fizzles out. I didn't think I could deal with another failed attempt. Little did I know this is a theme for others as well. The course helped me reframe the "failure". Julia's wonderful example of unconditional love and grace was just what I needed to gently begin anew again. And again. And again.   • I have never been able to stick with a meditation practice. How can I know this course will change that?

    This course is designed to change your volition for meditation at a deep level. It will also walk you step by step into longer and more consistent meditation, which will help you start to touch into something deeper and more enjoyable. I can't guarantee that you will stick with it, but I can assure you this program will give you a clear path and a deeper and different kind of motivation than the mainstream has to offer.

  • I have trauma and meditation can sometimes activate me. Is this course safe for me?

    I have training in trauma-sensitive mindfulness and will also be pointing you to some helpful resources on that subject. However, this course offers only minimal personalized guidance on our live calls. If your trauma is severe and unintegrated, and you feel unsure about joining this group course, please email me to discuss and I'll do my best to help guide your decision. Private, more personalized, supplemental support with me is an option as well.

  • For how long will I have access to the course materials?

    You'll have access to the course materials in this program until October 15th of the program year.

  • What if I miss a call or two?

    It's perfectly fine if you miss a call or two. Our calls are recorded so you can always listen back to them later.

  • What is your refund policy?
